Local Girl Earns Dance Scholarships

Buffa’s Dance Studio dancer Emma Bradley awarded scholarships at the Dance Alliance gala in NYC
Published July 18, 2012 in Burke Patch—Emma Bradley, a dancer from in Burke, was awarded several scholarships to prominent college dance programs while competing at New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA) National Finals.
The audition process included a ballet class and a contemporary class, while representatives from the universities observed.
The rising senior at was awarded:
- A $40,000 scholarship to Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA
- A $48,0000 scholarship to Marymount Manhattan in New York City, NY
- A full tuition scholarship to University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA
The scholarships will be held for Bradley, until she decides where she will study after high school.
The New York City Dance Alliance Foundation, Inc., was founded by Joe Lanteri in 2010. The program is dedicated to helping young performers by providing them with life changing opportunities.
