Catch up or get ahead on homework
Competition season is a busy one and having time for school work is tricky and takes serious time management. So, using a snow day to catch up on the homework that’s due or (ahem, already was due) is a great opportunity and a much needed one!
-
Dance!
Review your competition dances (you’re dance teacher would appreciate that) or you can learn a fresh choreo on YouTube via the Dance Tutorials Live channel! Anything to stay warm, right?
-
Build a snowman.
Enough said.
-
Stretch!
Easyflexibility has great tutorials on how to improve your splits as well as how to safely stretch your body with correct form. Check it out to stretch it out!
-
Tone & Tighten
Set up an ab challenge for yourself! Try 100 sit-ups, 35 push-ups and a 2.5 minute plank! Too easy? Ramp up the counts and hold the plank as long as you can. Even better? Grab a partner and challenge each other!

Upload photos
This weekend’s competition was full of memories that were no doubt captured on your smart phone, take a second (now that you have one or two) and upload them in bulk to your social networks and bask in the glorious moments.
-
Snow Tilt
While your uploading photos, midaswell take a tilt selfie in the snow…after all it is Tuesday. #TiltTuesday

Sleep in!
As dancers were always going and going and going, even the Energizer Bunny would be jealous. Use this snow day to catch some extra Z’s. Your mind and body will thank you.
How do you spend your snow day? Let us know 🙂
Dance is for everyone. Dance builds strong, flexible, disciplined bodies and minds and in so doing, enhances the total person: the creative, the physical, the mental and the social.
